After proving such a success during last year's
mountain boarding season, KSL are proud to announce their
full participation in this year's ATBA National Championship
Series. With 2006 shaping up to be the biggest year yet for
the sport, the Brighton based company will be there to provide
the sound system. The music for each event will be provided
by DJs from the Beat Lounge collective, selecting the best
hip hop, reggae, drum n' bass and breaks - considered to be
the best aural accompaniment to a weekend's mountainboarding.
Across the 2 days of each competition, the crew will provide
the soundtrack to the events as well as the all-important
party on the Saturday evening - 'apres-board.'

For
the uninitiated, mountain boarding (or All Terrain Boarding)
is one of the fastest growing sports around. Often described
as a combination of snowboarding, skateboarding and mountain
biking, this sport continues to be an underground favourite
- a viable alternative when there is no snow or waves at hand.
As far back as 1998 there was known to be over a million mountain
boarding participants. The versatility of the rugged boards
allows both downhill and freestyle sections. As with most
boarding disciplines, downhill requires the top speeds, and
control of those speeds, while the freestyle event is marked
on skills and finesse with the tricks - plus of course the
elusive big air.
