Pub Sound Installation | Case Study

The Prince Albert pub near Brighton station is venue with a rich musical heritage run by same people who started the original Concorde nightclub and the Freebutt.

For a while they have had a problem with DJ’s blowing up their old loudspeakers. As part of the continued improvement of the venue the Prince Albert decided to do something about it and worked with Brighton Sound System to install a new sound system downstairs. They chose Traction Sound’s SDS 8i ‘Gobi’ on Powerdrive brackets for mid/top alongside BP12 ‘Cub’ for bass. The BP12 ‘Cub’ proved particlarly popular because it slid nicely under the seats. Cabling was integrated in to the pubs existing sound system with additional local electrical points installed for the active loudspeakers.
